I did a thing
yesterday was the first time I was a speaker at an event, and it went ok.
I spoke at a small local arcade convention about the history of arcade graphics and its achievements. Got a small crowd and some lukewarm applause, but I expected much less, so I'm happy ^__^;
Also, I'm a private teacher! I teach graphics and illustration to a young boy around 15 years of age. It's flippin difficult, but at least he likes it c:
Anyone tried to do something similar? I could use some tips!
And a question to those that are interested in my tutorials: do you feel the need for an in depth wing anatomy tutorial?
And if so about which type of wing?
This roller coaster of a life
Life the past, like three-four months have been going up and down a whooole lot. And honestly, it's been a bit exhausting, which is why I haven't been as active here as I'd want to.
So, my life in summary nov-feb:
-Saw my childhood home get sold :c
-Move in with my GF C:
-Lost my job as a waitress/bartender :/
-Instantly got a new and better paying job as an industrial cleaner 0u0
-Got some sort of chronic illness, possibly IBS (constantly messed up stomach) =.=
-Lost my job as a cleaner due to said illness T___T
-Started to develop constant pain in my whole body 0_=
But all is not doom and gloom, I refuse it! I'm still working on the game I won with "Dragon's Crypt" and another still nameless game at "Amberwing studio".
So in the future they can generate some income for me. At least it's fun and challenging to work on.

I've been working on a game together with Golen, a top-down pixelart dungeon-crawler, called Dragon's Crypt.
It's not done yet, but what happened is: we entered into LiU Game Awards and we won!
Like actually took first place! That's such an amazing development, we won prestige, but also some funds to continue developing the game.
I joined the game as an independent, and Golen has expressed interest in keeping me on the team as a monster designer. So there will probably be more pixel animations coming from me in the future, not really my main strength, but I'm learning.

Oh, eh, Naara Camelopardia Alara.
2. Do you know why you were named that?
My mom said it was ‘cause her and dad though it sounded nice, also it’s a longer version of my grandmother’s middle name Camelo. And uh, Alara is my family’s name, so when I was adopted I inherited it.
Oh, and when I say mom and dad I actually mean step mom/dad. I was so young when they adopted me that I don’t know what name my biological mother gave me.

Taken.
4. Have any abilities or powers?
Yea, I’m capable of some anti-magic little tricks, not super useful since they’re far too combat oriented. I’m not a fighter, so, it would’ve been nicer if I’d been born with utility magic of some sort.

Green! My eyes are super green.

Well, I don’t really have any but my family has two Hildres. They look like some sort of civet or genet, basically long fluffy tubes with stubby little legs.

Uhm, war? Suffering? Or maybe you want something more personal? If so, then I’m not fond of people that demand my time, it’s mine to give not yours to take.

Mhm! Archery! It’s been a long time hobby, but lately I haven’t been able to practice it as much as I want since my bow broke, and getting a new one’s super expensive. *sigh*

Pff, I was a violent cub. Sure I’m calmer now, but back then I did not hesitate to claw and bite people that annoy me. I’ll actually still occasionally lash out, but you’d have to push me pretty far for me to do that.

No, but I’ve murdered my fair share of small animals. One of the more unpleasant parts of owning two hildres, they injure so many small critters and it’s my duty to finish the job by decapitation via shovel.

I’m an abioäva, a type of feliform, my closest relatives are the euplerids.
15. Name your worst weakness.
My crippling fear of water, hm, that’s probably not the worst one… My compulsive need for control in any and all situations to the point that I get really anxious if I’m not.
16. Do you look up to anyone at all?
Yes, my grandfather Azwat. When he lived he was such a strong and gentle person, able to command respect without ever raising his voice or using violence. When I was young I had this picture of him as a stoic, serious and kind person, but the more stories I hear the more he reminds me of my mischievous trickster of a father.

Asexual, of the biromantic model.

Nah, I'm done with that

Ugh, I don’t knooooow. Marry, yes absolutely, but my partner’s not into that, if she changes her mind, then yeah sure. Kids, I dunno, that’s a lot of responsibility.

Yes actually I do, or did. A small young hellion that attached himself to my side during summer camp one year when I was in my late teens. He even choose the same career path as I did and cited me as one of the reasons he did so, which feels a bit strange even now.

Death.

A skirt and a small cape, ‘s comfy.

Meat! All kinds of tasty delicious meat~

Near my home town, Taabmoor, there’s a cliff that overlooks the town and the nearby forest. I love looking out over it and letting my thoughts wander as to what adventures awaits me at the horizon.
